Am I Seeing Spots? Week 48

Welcome back to Tuesdays

Don't forget to head over to the Digi Choosday Challenge blog and grab that discount code and go shopping.  There are many collections to grab so you can make your Christmas cards.
While you are grabbing your code, make sure you check out my teamies fabulous makes this week.  I know I always look forward in seeing what all of them have made.

As the tile asked about seeing spots....no spots here this week, I used stripes.  DC teamies had the challenge of using spots or stripes.  Here is another design sheet of embellishments and papers from the amazing Octavia Frosted Winter.

These kits that are available in the Polkadoodles store are so versatile and easy to use.  If you haven't done so already you may just have to get yourself one of the kits!

I colored Victorian Winter Emily to welcome in the holiday season.  She was so much fun.  Colored with Copics.

Giving Thanks....

With so much going on in the world this holiday season, I wanted to make a card in giving thanks for everything that I have.
It has been a very tough year......lost our job and home.......moved into a house owned by my brother in law, which was temporary and found out last month that we had to move again. UGH!!! We have moved 6 times since 2009 and I am so tired of packing and unpacking.
My husband has CHF and it is progressing faster than we thought it would so who knows what the future holds for us in that situation.  To top it off, we had to say good bye to Reba our Doberman on Veterans Day.  I never realized I would hurt so much in not having her around any more.
So with all this, and many other things happening in my life....what in the world do I have to be thankful for?  My life......being on a few design teams.....wonderful friends....and we bought a house!
For my make this week for Imagine That Digistamps I used one of the images from the Pilgrim image set.

I colored this little cutie with Copic markers and used two different designer papers,  the Fall Fun Designer Digital Paper

Adding my own SU cardstock for the layers.

Thank you for visiting me today.  Very Happy Thanksgiving to all my U.S. friends and a belated to all those who already celebrated.

Who is that Peeking in my Window?

My the days seem to be passing by at record speed lately.  The holidays are rapidly approaching and we are getting ready to move yet again.  Thankfully for the last time.  Instead of going somewhere temporary, we decided to purchase something that I will be able to take care of by myself if anything ever happens to my husband.  It is bittersweet.  We are going to have to get rid of our goats that we have had since 2009.
Enough about me and my and mine.
Welcome to Digi Choosday!

Make sure you head over to the Digi Choosday Challenge blog and grab your discount code for today.....it is a great time of year to be saving money, especially on those things that you know you need!

Over here at the Polkadoodles hang out, it beginning to look a lot like Christmas.  It is funny, I am making lots of Christmas cards for my DT requirements but haven't thought about making them for sending out.  lol.....I hate parting with them!

For this weeks challenge, the DC teamie gang and I was challenged to make a creation using the new and fabulous window/door die that is now available here.  Unfortunately for me tho....when I placed my order for the new dies, I mistakenly ordered 2 of one die, never checked and didn't get the window die.  Luckily for me tho there is a fabulous window image in the Festive Christmas collection that I was able to utilize.

I colored up the window frame with my copics, added some WOW glitter to the areas where there is suppose to be snow and made it into a shaker card by cutting out all the window panes and adding acetate.

Thanks for visiting and don't forget all your comments are appreciated and always read!

I ended up coloring Christmas Clara.

In Mourning

First off I would like to say thank you to every veteran and all those who have sacrificed your life for me today....I am forever grateful.

My tears today and mourning is for a completely different reason. ❤️

Not enough years ago, Bill and I decided to become mommy and daddy to a Doberman named Reba, thanks to my sister.  I have to say, we were a bit apprehensive because we didn't really know her and her life with my sisters ex husband was not wonderful.  Reason for us taking her, my sister didn't want him to get her thru the divorce.

We had planned on having her ride in the back of my pick up truck.  (The truck did have a cap).  We even went so far to purchase a dog run for her....we had 4 other dogs and didn't know what effect Reba would have as the new dog in town.

Much to our surprise, Reba got right into the truck and sat between us the whole time from Long Island to the SE corner of Pennsylvania.  What a joy she was.  Even when we brought her into the house, all of our dogs accepted her.  There was a bit of a scuffle with our cocker spaniel Sandy......but nothing to write home about.  Life went on which brings me to today....this moment.

Reba has been dealing with with DM (degenerative myolpathy) or wobblers.  She has been slowly losing the use of her legs, bladder and bowels.  We bought her a help me up harness that helped wonderfully and eventually bought a wheelchair for her.  She used the chair a few times but was unable to hold her weight plus pull the wheelchair.

I did have such high hopes...it was just not meant to be.  Today I sit here by her unable to catch my breath or stop the tears.  She has had enough.  Unable to get up, and not able to walk.  We have loved....and I mean Loved ever single minute of her life.  I have never had to make a decision like this ever before in my life and it is killing me, but I know I am doing her a disservice......she deserves better and I am going to give that to her.

An Angel 😇 will get her wings today.......and I am praying that my mom will be there to meet her.

God how I love her...and will miss her more than you will ever know.  Love you Reba....run free sweet girl and catch a squirrel for me. ❤️

Who is That Cutie in the Pumpkin Patch?

Back again my crafty friends with another make from Imagine That Digistamps!  It is my second month as GDT and I am loving these lovely images and the fabulous papers that are available.
For this weeks make I used the Scarecrow set that comes with a variety of colored and black/white images.  I decided to color one of the scarecrows and the pumpkin for todays card.

I also added some corn stalks to give it a more pumpkin patch feel.
Copics used.
pumpkin-E18, E15, E08, YR18, YR16, YR14, Y35
leaves-YG99, YG97, YG95
scarecrow-B18, B16, B14, E18, E15, E13, YR18, YR23
When deciding on what papers to use for the background I couldn't decide so I made up a patch work of color using the Fall Fun Designer paper pack.  Solid paper from SU.

Halloween is Over......

Pumpkins are here to celebrate Thanksgiving!

Now that Halloween is over the holiday season is about to begin.  It is always a stressful time since my family is so spread out...there have been some years that my husband and I were alone during the holidays.
With that said, this month for Scrapper's Delights Challenge blog I decided to do pumpkins with the fabulous image Pumpkin Patch.  In coloring this image I wanted to challenge myself a bit...I am usually not one to color backgrounds...I may add a bit of light color but to add dark colors scares me. After seeing a video done by Zoe Mitc, I decided to color my image after watching the video and putting a bit of my own spin on it.  Thank you Zoe for such a wonderful video.

I layered the colored image on card stock from my stash and it is colored with Copics.

Julia Spiri November Challenge

Was even a challenge for me!

This months challenge at Julia  Spiri is as always Anything Goes/with a twist.  That twist is to go outside your comfort zone and try a different coloring medium.  Oh baby...it was a challenge for me.  I am a Copic user and have finely found my comfort zone in using them.  I have purchased a few monthly pencil classes from Kit and Clowder but I have yet to start them.

So for my challenge this month I colored the Angelique Angel image with Prisma pencils.  Be gentle is you decide to leave any messages.

Angelique as I said is colored with Prismacolor Pencils with some added gel pens.  I added Great Impressions Sparkling Ice glitter to her wings and clear embossing powder to the mask on her face.     Feathers are from my stash as well as the flower.  Corners are Starform stickers.  Card stock is also from my stash.

Hope on over to the Challenge blog and check out the creations from my teamies and grab your craft supplies and come and join the fun.
